Primer for concrete based surfaces
Each tin of Primer will cover 6m² of concrete ready for resin bound.
Our primer is an excellent product that when applied to the existing cleaned concrete surface strengthens the bond to the new resin bound surface.
Simply brush the primer onto your old concrete surface and leave for 2 hours.
Packaging and labelling may vary from illustration.
A surface primer is applied before installing resin bound surfacing to improve adhesion between the base surface and the resin bound mixture. It helps create a stronger bond, reducing the risk of movement or surface failure.
Resin bound surface primer can typically be used on a range of prepared surfaces, including concrete, asphalt, and other suitable bases. The surface should be clean, dry, and free from dust, oils, or contaminants before application.
The primer is usually applied evenly to the prepared surface using a roller, brush, or suitable applicator. The resin bound material should be installed while the primer is still within its recommended working time to ensure the best adhesion.
Each unit of primer ordered will cover up to 6m² dependant on the porosity of the surface, and application conditions. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidance for the recommended coverage rate and application method.
Using a surface primer is recommended for many resin bound installations as it helps improve the bond between the existing surface and the new resin bound layer. It can be especially beneficial on certain substrates where additional adhesion is required.
